Nabunya AS is dedicated to serving professional organisers, management and agents through offering tailor-made services in project and process management, short or long term consultant services as well as stage and producer services. Our Story

Nabunya AS was founded in 2010 by Miriam Nabunya. It has now grown from a consultancy to a full-service agency. During the past 10 years, Nabunya has worked with some of Norway's most beloved music- and arts festivals such as Øya festival, Molde Jazz festival, Mela festival, Miniøya, to mention a few.

​Nabunya AS also produced club concepts in Oslo and coordinated some of Norway's biggest TV shows such as «The Amazing Race Norway S02», «Fristet» and «Anno 1700».

Nabunya is well aware of the stresses and pressure project managers and bookers are put under, having helped trouble-shoot projects like Norske Kulturhus Fagkonferanser, Alt for Norge and Drammen Sacred Music Festival, and have thus gained a reputation for saving projects. 

Boasting a love for hospitality and a combined experience of more than three decades from the hospitality industry Nabunya AS ensures our service is always exceptional. 

Today we are a boutique agency, with a powerhouse mentality based in Oslo, Norway and collaborate both locally and internationally.

Vision

& Mission

We in Nabunya AS have come to an understanding that it’s more important than ever to physically be present and do so with credible services that can take load off «the burnout and mental illness»- industry, as the entertainment industry has been called. We have therefore chosen two of the UN's 17 sustainable development goals as our small contribution to the world.

We provide services and promote work ethics that cater to our industry’s major health issues that are entrepreneurial burnouts and other types of mental disorders. These different health issues have landed our industry and society into major sick leaves and even worse, suicides.

This focus has changed the way we negotiate, choose our partners and clients. We wish to work with companies and people that see the value of a human resource and well-being, starting with how they treat their own.

​

Internally we have frequent team-building gatherings and evaluations for our super- crew, partners and peers (starting 2020 through our solidarity initiative UC:LAG). We aim to update them on their rights, our service policies both internal- and external, and the importance of self-care.

Gender equality has been an underlining focus of Nabunya’s since the company saw the day of light in 2010. We have supported women’s rights through our many years of work with the feminist platform Ladyfest Oslo. Here we have actively worked to create a forum and stage where both artists and the audience can be inspired for free expression, artistic expression, dialogue and collaboration.

Nabunya AS (previously known as  Nabunya Promotions) has in the past also contributed to the work that JURK (Legal counselling for women) does. Through donations, Nabunya AS made it possible for them to publish English brochures in order for their wonderful work to spread even further.

MIRIAM NABUNYA

MD, service expert and consultant Miriam Nabunya has worked with some of the leading TV production companies, festivals and events companies in Norway. Her 18 years’ experience and background in Arts Management (Norway), Hospitality and Leadership (Sweden, France & Norway) and the Ugandan heritage, contribute to her high EQ level. She loves systematic inventive thinking (SIT) and the strategic planning of complex projects.

MIRIAM MATSSON

Miriam Matsson is a dedicated photographer and content producer who joined the NABUNYA team in 2018. She has contributed to client productions such as Globuskonferansen, Drammen Sacred Music Festival and the Norske Kulturhus fagkonferanse  with her talent and dedication.  

Sergio Dreyer is a customer experience specialist who's 14 years experience in hospitality, event management, and digital marketing systems ensures that customers experience is enjoyable both off and online. His pleasant and hardworking attitude is a huge asset to the Nabunya team and to clients who need a technical and logistical wizard on their side.

NADINE PESCOLLER

Multilingual, service-minded, and solution-oriented, Nadine Pescoller is Nabunya AS's 2020 trainee. She dreams of a career as a professional events project manager, something that she has been nurturing through various past positions such as Coordinator, supervisor, and secretary at Badia Music Days festival in Italy. We look forward to a long collaboration with Nadine and get a chance to inspire and teach her what we can, but also to learn from her.
